The premiere of DJ AM aka Adam Goldstien’s special “Gone Too Far” aired tonight on MTV marking his last appearance on TV.
DJ AM, passed away almost two months ago after an accidental drug overdose. The special airing tonight featured DJ AM helping 8 kids who suffered from an addiction to drugs.
AM himself got addicted to painkillers after plane crash nearly took his and Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker’s life a little over a year ago.
The untimely death of DJ AM was sudden and very unexpected. MTV questioned if they should air the special due to the circumstances, but were given the OK, AM’s mother. She felt that DJ AM would have wanted the show to air if he was alive today.
