Atlanta Rapper T.I. was released early from prison, after serving 7 months of his original 366-day prison sentence. In 2007, T.I. real name Clifford Harris was arrested by federal agents after they raided a Walgreen’s parking lot where T.I. was involved in a “heavy arms deal.”
Facing 10 years in jail and a $250,000 fine for each charge, T.I.’s lawyers were able to reach a plea deal that would have the rapper under house arrest and serve a year and a day in prison. Although it is unconfirmed why T.I. was released early, he will still serve 2-3 months in a halfway house in Atlanta. Time seemed to have flown while T.I. was locked up. Guess he was right:
“They say the time just flew in the streets. Hard to believe from in there but you’ll see soon as you on the streets.”
