GQ magazine is outdated and ignorant. Every year they create their own special awards, classifying various “Men of the Year” in odd categories. This year they decided to put Drake, Wale and Kid Cudi into the category of “Gangsta Killers of the Year.”
For whatever reason, it doesn’t make any sense to put these three rappers in this category. None of their music is considered “Gangsta Rap” and GQ falsely assumes that every rapper alive is a “gangsta” or “killer.” It’d be interesting to see what those three rapper thought about the category they placed into.
